If you've been working long enough...like a year or more...you've likely encountered some form of "employee relations" disaster. It could be rampant gossip, cruel cliques, tattle tales and bullies. Occasionally we end up being witnesses of, or worse, victims of, workplace violence. Workplace violence can happen in many ways, and employers have certain obligations to keep workers safe. The violence could be from another employee, a customer or sometimes from the personal relationships of the employee. In all of these situations, the employer continues to have certain obligations.
